DeepSeek-OCR as an initial investigation into the feasibility of compressing long contexts via optical 2D mapping. DeepSeek-OCR consists of two components: DeepEncoder and DeepSeek3B-MoE-A570M as the decoder. Specifically, DeepEncoder serves as the core engine, designed to maintain low activations under high-resolution input while achieving high compression ratios to ensure an optimal and manageable number of vision tokens. Experiments show that when the number of text tokens is within 10 times that of vision tokens (i.e., a compression ratio < 10x), the model can achieve decoding (OCR) precision of 97%. Even at a compression ratio of 20x, the OCR accuracy still remains at about 60%. This shows considerable promise for research areas such as historical long-context compression and memory forgetting mechanisms in LLMs.

We present a sentence transformation model that maps sentences and paragraphs to a 768-dimensional dense vector space, suitable for semantic search tasks. The model is trained on 215 million question-answer pairs from various sources, including WikiAnswers, PAQ, Stack Exchange, MS MARCO, GOOAQ, Amazon QA, Yahoo Answers, Search QA, ELI5, and Natural Questions. Our model uses a contrastive learning objective.

We present a sentence similarity model based on the Sentence Transformers architecture, which maps sentences to a 384-dimensional dense vector space. The model uses a pre-trained BERT encoder and applies mean pooling on top of the contextualized word embeddings to obtain sentence embeddings. The Dolphin 2.6 Mixtral 8x7b model is a finetuned version of the Mixtral-8x7b model, trained on a variety of data including coding data, for 3 days on 4 A100 GPUs. It is uncensored and requires trust_remote_code. The model is very obedient and good at coding, but not DPO tuned. The dataset has been filtered for alignment and bias. The model is compliant with user requests and can be used for various purposes such as generating code or engaging in general chat.

Phi-4-reasoning-plus is a state-of-the-art open-weight reasoning model finetuned from Phi-4 using supervised fine-tuning on a dataset of chain-of-thought traces and reinforcement learning. The supervised fine-tuning dataset includes a blend of synthetic prompts and high-quality filtered data from public domain websites, focused on math, science, and coding skills as well as alignment data for safety and Responsible AI. The goal of this approach was to ensure that small capable models were trained with data focused on high quality and advanced reasoning. Phi-4-reasoning-plus has been trained additionally with Reinforcement Learning, hence, it has higher accuracy but generates on average 50% more tokens, thus having higher latency.
